Our Cabinet Design Process

Built On Coordination

From First Call to Final Install

Step 1

Start the Conversation

Call or email us to get started. A few focused questions early on help eliminate guesswork later. We’ll cover the essentials, like location and how you plan to use the space – then guide you toward the right next step based on your project.

Step 2

Plans, Measurements, and an Estimate

We can bid directly from your plans. A full set of plans will create the best estimating result. The more accurate the plan, the easier it is to create an accurate estimate. It is best that we have a full set of plans including a floor plan, elevations, construction method and wood species, if available. In lieu of completed plans, we will discuss if we need to meet, do a site walk or take measurements. Once we have the necessary information, we will provide you with a room-by-room estimate.

Step 3

Drawings and Approvals

Once the estimate is approved and space can be measured, we will begin our internal drawing process. A drawing deposit is required beforehand. (non-refundable) We will require all appliance/sink model numbers, countertop/decking thicknesses, and any fixtures that affect the cabinetry. Our bid includes the initial drawings and 2 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions may incur fees. Once drawings are done, we’re happy to meet to review through this process.

Step 4

Build, Install, and Finish

  • Build: Once drawings are approved, we move into production planning and provide an estimated delivery and installation date. NOTE: Lead times vary by project.
  • Install: After installation, our service department takes over to help finish the project. We review the work with you, take care of any issues, and come back for a final check to make sure everything is complete.
  • Finishing (Paint/Stain): If you have chosen our finishing services, we will follow up after installation with a projected date. Countertops must be in place and all finish selections finalized before our painter arrives.
